Thirty so far.....

To be honest with you, I began this blog site when I turned thirty to simply document my life at thirty! 

well....two months later!! lol  ummm similar but with heighten alert!   Sounds right!  Def more of a sense of alertness at all times.  For many reasons, one I'm new to the area, yeah I still consider myself new especially in new areas I have no idea with relevancy where I live or how to get home!!  But yes always alert!  A Lil explorer Ive become.   I truly have. As I usually do to new environments: I do venture out and explore just so that I wont be in the aforementioned predicament of me not knowing how to get home, aside from a Cab! 

I got here (Chicago) at the end of fall, as the winds were picking up force and swooshing away the fall palate of yellow, red, orange, green, purple, browns....a rainbow of fall!  Soon the cold winter came and it did not disappoint.  Setting a new record with the Blizzard of 2010!  Insane!  And now all the April Showers!!  Crazy seasons here! All which do not happen in Texas whereI am from, or at least the way these seasons slowly fade into one another! Just as I remembered them in my childhood growing up here!

Summer is now about to get here and I need to really bust a nut and get a movin' to a fitter self!  This month of May.........I VOW and RESOLVED the following;

to lose 12 lbs

eat healthier

run once a day

lets hope all goes ok!

summer has to be funner if I'm healthier, right?

as a French instructor I do have a problem with today's holiday...lol the French lost to a battle with Mexico and now it has come to be known an excuse to get drunk, usually downing some delicious Ritas alongside some nice crispy chips and salsa and queso....actually sounds like I should go out for a drink!! lol The only problem is that I'm in Chicago.  No big celebrations like we do in Texas. No happy hours to go to and get dollar ritas! and free nachos!! ugh!  But yes...Happy DRINKO de Mayo!!

What a week! what a week! Hell where did April go? Like for real? Where did April go? Grant it that most of the month was spent under an umbrella as the ever so popular saying "April Showers bring May Flowers!!"  did not disappoint! and without a doubt these flowers are everywhere and are about to bloom any day! Maybe for Mothers Day this Sunday!  Another holiday!  Insane!    But preShoutOut to my Mom and sister: HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!  Both you rock! Mom you are the best cook ever and sister clearly you are the winner of all sisters! Happy Mothers day!

Yesterday was one of my all time gal-pal DIANE ESCOBEDOs 28th Bday! whew!! Can't believe you are now knocking at 30...but at 28 you look absolutely beautiful! Happy bday lil one! Luv ya! Her twin sister too...Happy Bday lil Debbie! :)

and upcoming Bday is for a dear friend of mine...BUBBA...aka ISAAC!! AKA Daaaaaaaiiiiiiisssssssy! He also turns a hott 28!! lol  Soon Ill post pics of us both going crazy in Chicago as He is coming to visit very soon in about two weeks!! Happy Early Bday Bubba!!

I DO!!!  I DO!!

Ha! I wish!  Pretty much a dream! I doubt and actually I know for certain that I will never marry! never! EVER!   Today was the awaited marriage of Prince William and Dutches of Cambridge Kate Middleton!  Crazy, just like that!!  How insane! 

Speaking of marriages, I am scheduled to be the best man at one of my new friends wedding here in Chicago, slate for June 2! Though much hype and craziness is involved in the wedding party, I am somehow part of that mess! lol!  I will stand there as best man with a bright big smile....a bit phony perhaps but nonetheless a smile!

I just finished reading the Memoires of Ricky Martin: ME!  Absolutely fucking loved it!  wow! crazy! I won't lie, but at times I was crying in the book!  Ricky let it all out!  A book much like I want to release one day...for either personal gain or simply publishing status! but I have always wanted my own personal memoire out there so that people can at least understand a small part of it!    I have over and over again began my life at the age of 10.  The terrific birthday party that led to my absolutely disfigured life-path!    With it and through it I want to share all my experiences and details that have allowed me to now better understand myself. I am still growing and just now at the age of 30 began wanting to fully accept my own decisions and actions and after all to understand that this is my LIFE, not anyone Else's! 

His book was on point...every aspect, every word, and every thought evoke the inner me that I know I was, am, and could be!   Alongside my memoire I would like to also write my children's book! based of my dog, Viktorya St. James...a promise I made her years ago!  Her life, legacy to me!  My pseudo-daughter for all intent and purposes!  alongside my other children, Tophyr St. Laurent and London Rio St. Stevens.   These are my pseudos and until I nerve up the right time to adopt or surrogate my own children.  Another venture I said I would like to feat around the age of 36.    Life plans are all hitting me. It's my new found age, I know! I know now that actions I do now will certainly carry over into my true adulthood!  Alone or married!! 

For now the only I DO, I choose to accept is the I DO want to better understand me, and that I DO want to find me in someone else to live, love and simply be!

Ramblings for today!

So Monday was my tax day! lol I filed for my taxes...and of course I owe so that began my week! :(   But it was spring break for me! The weather was completely horrible...cold rain and even snow! ha! insane!  In my boredom I turned to crafting, specifically my Hekature Collection!  Made amazing shoulder pieces that had to be all sewn in.  It was sworovsky stones, and glass beading that took a long time to put together but was worth the time and effort!  Each shoulder piece will placed on the shoulder and swooping linked chains are connecting them! Truly outdid my self! ha!  It's very much a 'look at me! look at me!' piece!  

In family tradition I made two Easter egg pinatas! They came out so good!   I cannot believe that I was able to pull it off, making it all work.   Speaking of making it work, I went to visit my cousins in the suburbs and I made my second cousin an easter frock dress.  It truly was fun making it! My first of children's clothing!  Maybe I should start making pieces and just selling them!  I could make fun diaper bags as well!

Like I said this rain made me turn back to my roots and I crafted away!  I even found time to be invited to be a BEST MAN at a friends wedding here in Chicago, set for next month! Long crazy story, which I already shared to some of the readers via phone and others through text but this story is very scandalous! A book can be written from it, and believe me, I WILL! But yes I am set to walk down the aisle as a Best Man! 

Easter is tomorrow ans I just need to breaaaatthhhhhhhhheeee...Ive been on a do do do attitude! lol

happy IRS day! and happy holy week!

Well I'm so mad, first and foremost that I forgot to file earlier this month, but thank god we had this extension till today!  I mean I did all my families and friends taxes and somehow forgot my own!  The part I'm mostly upset about is that I owe.....683.00 to be exact! WTF! really??  ILLINOIS you suck for taking my money, I just moved here! I only worked like 3 months in Illinois...ugh! Grant it some is from Texas and taxing my money that I collected from my Retirement Check I cashed last year! Oh well...it was worth it! FUN! 

Well its HOLY week! I went to Palm Sunday yesterday after my cop friend influenced me to get more than 2 leaves of palm! LOL. and I did! I got a big handful, or rather they gave me a handful of leaves! Funny though that Immediately everyone started making crazy creations from the palm leaves. I saw elaborate braided crosses, and weird shapes! I seriously felt like i was in competition to make a woven hat or something, and I did begin to weave it but other things kept me distracted ;)  my cell phone! and facebook and texts! lol  But it is HOLY week so lets see how holy i can behave!

Well holiness won't last because on Wednesday I'm going clothes shopping with Cop.  Primarily looking for denim jeans, and more particular, designer denim as I am an expert on jeans! ;) but yes we will see what new jeans are a must and above all show stoppers!  at least for me!   things have been a bit slow here in Chicago! Me and the weather have a love hate relationship. From snow to cold winds to rain to a gorgeous sunny day at the beach where I even got a sun tan...but now its back to cold rain! ughhh! I really cant wait to enjoy the sun and believe I will soak in every piece of sun ray hitting at me!  I miss it and need it!

 hEkDUCATION inc, is going great. My tutoree is off on Spring Break and before had we did and amazing science project. an  anometer to measure wind speed! His grades are amazing and he has gained so much confidence and I'm very proud of his great strides and efforts, and Ms. Fite is just simply the best client I could have asked for!

Museum is going great, just had a staff meeting the other day, and I shared some amazing ideas that I feel we could incorporate in our programs!  Lots of ideas that surely can increase our revenues. These programs are making me miss my ACM days of summer glory and my wonderful students all excited to learn and have fun!

Ha! So finally I can sit at the desk and write away! Funny because lately my brother, @lawerenze on twitter, and I have have been watching some Sex in the City on TV and the other day saw SITC2!  we just think it's funny how Carrie basically sits anywhere she wants and begins to do monologues...'AS I SAT THERE WATCHING THE COUPLE......I BEGAN TO WONDER.....WHO IS WATCHING ME!'  lol   So now whenever I am out and about with my brother I begin go throw some Monologues out!  'As I sat on the train ride doing downtown, I wondered...who would ride me downtown!!'  lol!  too crazy! 

Well alas, a very juicy update!  first and first most, Ill quote my girl Brit! 'Love me hate me, say what you want about me....'    So joyously and sadly enough at the same time, I have been crushed by a crush...or rather I soon will be crushed!  In all fairness, nothing is really going on, but a simple fun friendship with one of Chicago's finest member of the police force! :)   Simple fun is perhaps not the best descriptive words but you get the picture!  So leave it to my luck that the day I finally I am able to courage the nerve to accept a social outing and drinks with someone, its perfectly magical! In reality, my first date! EVER!  But yes, with my luck this is all too good to be true.  I have been courted for the past 2.5 months...was taken out on several occasions to hand out/drink with buddies, etc and things are splendidly well.   Texts have gone off the roof!  A minimum of 100 texts daily, no joke! lol  I no longer have an alarm clock but rather a an ALARM TEXT saying  WAKEY WAKE! lol  getting my day started with a great big smile!  and by the time I arrive to work, at least 30 texts have been exchanged. Just dumb fun text.   I think 'bye creep' is the new 'LOVE YOU!' lol  but yeah, all is swell and dandy!  I've even had a few run ins with the ex!  let me just say that 'THEM CHICKENS IS ASH AND IM LOTION!'  I truly am!  not saying Im the hottest guy out there but I can hold my ground and trust I know how to work it, need be! lol  But on two occasions I have been part of the 'make my ex jealous' at the bars, and twice it has worked!  You simply sit there and smile and you know it is killing the ex to pieces!  nothing they can do or say, because they do not want to be the crazy ex! lol but in truth them coming out to find us is actually very crazy!  so yeah, about two weeks ago my friend got the call that after three years of being on the Los Angeles Police Academy wait list, they are officially being offered and invitation to join.  A great opportunity and career boost to be part of the famed LAPD!! Amazing!  So leave it to my luck again that when I finally found what has taken 30 years to find, I can no longer have! :(  My friend too is very distraught about departing and especially leaving me, the only new friend I have met in Chicago!  So last week we went out officially on our own, no friends, no amigos in sight, and simply had a blast! talked our ears off! several shots! beers!  toasts!! truly a fun night!  But LORD BEHOLD who walks in....CRAZY EX!! ha! Once again, I smile, say hi...and the ex finally looks at me and says 'WHAT....what you smiling about.'  I simply smile back and give no reply! lol  pissed off the ex leaves in a tantrum and that was that!  wait for it.................................................TWO days later, the crazy ex burned my friends house down!  a kitchen fire ensued to a bigger structural unsafe house!  now its off the market as my cop friend wanted to sell it for the great LA move!  So sad! I get a call at 130 in the morning asking if it was possibly I could host for a night.  I didn't know at the time, but all I heard was great distress in the voice, and I simply said, sure come on over! Bless my friend, tears and a puffy red face is all I saw when I went to the gate.  It was then I was told what had happened!  I sat there in my room hearing the details and how crazy the situation was.  I felt useless...I mean what can you say! what can you do!???   It was then that I realized that my friend and I are really good friends and simply enjoy each others company and very well matched....cop and teacher! Cop leaves in about a month and all we can do is just continue our friendship and celebrate the moments!  At least now I know I have somewhere to stay and someone to visit in LA!
